Beatrice Benz was born in Brig, Valais, in 1970, which is still easily recognizable by her dialect. She worked in the financial sector for over 20 years. She spent 10 of those years in Geneva before coming to Zurich in 1999.
Due to a serious accident with her mountain bike in 2001, a year Zaesur occurred in her life and everyday life became a challenge. So she had to learn to walk again and work her way back into everyday life. A long time of rehabilitation followed, and despite various therapies she never became pain-free. A physiotherapist advised her to try something new and recommended Pilates to Julie Selwood.
So she came into contact with the method for the first time. Thanks to Julie she was able to experience the diversity and effectiveness of Pilates on her own body, even during the two pregnancies and later despite shoulder problems for 3 years.
Because the training meant so much to her and helped her so much, she wanted to learn more about the method and started her trainer training in classical Pilates.
In the summer of 2018 she received her diploma as a Pilates Instructor of the Julie Selwood Program.
Her goal is to give others the opportunity to experience the same, to feel the positive effects of the method on their own bodies and to pass on the joy of movement. She wants to show them that it is possible to redefine and overcome physical boundaries.
Beatrice teaches in German, English and French.
